You need to try Full Circle’s featured pizza for YYC Pizza Week. L and I dropped by for dinner on Friday. At 8:00 pm, the place was packed but we managed to get one of the few tables left. We started off with Banded Peak beers and L’s favourite Braised Octopus ($7.00).
The octopus is braised in its own juices. The result? The octopus is tender and juicy. I love the homemade bread, which is grilled and buttered, with a lovely charred taste.
This Fritto Misto pizza taste like fish and chips. The cod, calamari, anchovies and oysters are triple-fried and spotted with tartar sauce. The potatoes are sweet and soft. L normally hates potato on pizza, but he really enjoyed it on this pizza. The grilled lemons and hot peppers give it a nice acidic tang. The pizza was filling and only $20.00!
L and I plan to come by again before YYC Pizza Week is over. That seafood is just so damn good. Such a creative pie and the combination of flavours just blows me away. I also want to try Posto’s Anatra pizza and Azzuri’s Cotto Funghi. So many pizzas, so little time.
