Vietsub Express

I read on Urbanspoon that Vietsub Express is under new management. I was curious, as I was previously a fan of the food. We ordered a bowl of Pho Sate ($6.99) and a Mixed Meat Sub ($6.99).

When we got home, we were surprised to see the broth was in a bag. The basil was brown and bruised. The beef was almost mushy in texture. The noodles were plentiful but too soft. However, we did like the aromatic notes in the broth.

As for the sub, the bread was cold and tasted day old. It was packed full of fresh vegetables, mainly pickled carrots and cucumber. For the price, Vietsub is decent. However, I hope that management finds its groove, as in the past, I really liked the subs.
